Fees and payouts
The short version
We take 20% of every booking made through Adventroop. That’s the whole fee. No listing fee, no monthly fee, no fee to get paid.
What the guest pays
The price you set is the price the guest pays. We don’t add a service fee on top, so booking you here never costs your guest more than booking you directly. Our cut comes out of that price, not on top of it.
Two guests on one booking: $190 → −$38 → $152. It’s a straight percentage of the whole booking, every time. No minimum, no floor, no rounding in our favor.
What the 20% covers
- Card processing. Stripe’s per-charge cost comes out of our share, not yours.
- The guests you didn’t have. Your listing page and the people we put in front of it who’d never heard of you.
- The software you’d otherwise pay for. Scheduling, guest phone numbers and emergency contacts on the day, signed waivers, check-in, group chats, refunds, chargeback fights, and a human when something goes wrong.
We charge the same 20% whether a guest found you through us or is back for their fourth session. If someone books you off Adventroop — your Instagram, your own site, a friend texting you — we take nothing, because we’re not in it.
When the money lands
- Guest books. Their card is charged in full, right then.
- It sits in your Stripe balance, on hold. You’ll see it there and you can’t withdraw it yet. That’s on purpose: the hold is what lets us refund a guest cleanly if the session doesn’t happen.
- 48 hours after the session ends, we release your share. Automatically, once a day. A Saturday session that ends at 11am is released Monday morning.
- 1–5 business days to your bank, depending on your payout method.
Every booking on your Earnings page shows its own release date. You never have to ask us for it.
Refunds
When a booking is refunded, our fee is refunded with it. We keep nothing on a session that didn’t happen.
- Guest cancels inside your free-cancellation window → they get everything back, and you’re not charged anything for it.
- You cancel a session → every paid guest is refunded in full, automatically, whatever your policy says.
- Guest cancels after the window → your policy applies, and the booking pays out normally.
Before your Stripe account is finished
Your listings sell before your payout account is done. Those bookings land in Adventroop’s account instead of yours, and we send you the money by hand — your Earnings page marks which ones. Finish Stripe onboarding and everything after that is automatic.
What we never charge for
- Listing. Free, as many as you want.
- A subscription. There isn’t one.
- Photos, featured spots, or better ranking. You can’t buy your way up the page.
- Getting paid. (If you switch on Stripe’s instant payouts yourself, Stripe charges for that — that one’s between you and Stripe.)
Your Earnings page shows every booking, its fee and its release date.
